WORSHIP HELPERS

Radical Hospitality is a core value at Trinity. Many volunteers engage in creating a place where everyone feels welcome. Contact Clark Weyrauch or the coordinator listed below, if you are interested in volunteering. Training is provided in all areas.

Assisting Ministers

Lay people serve as assisting ministers. Ordained people serve as presiding and preaching ministers. The assisting minister offers prayers, helps to serve communion, and assists the pastor in any other ways needed. People of all ages (10 and above) are invited to participate.

Communion Bread Bakers

If you’ve ever wondered where our savory communion bread comes from, it is baked in our very own kitchen! This team bakes every 4-6 weeks, with day and time varying according to peoples’ availability. The session is usually 1.5 hours and involves making and rolling dough, as well as cutting bread into pieces. To join contact Susan Carr.

Flower Ministry

Altar flowers give glory to God, beautify the Worship Center and commemorate an important person or event in your life. Trinity invites you to join this tradition. When you give the flowers, your commemoration is shared with the congregation in the worship bulletin.

Hospitality Ministry

Greeters, Ushers and Coffee Crew
Because God first loved us, we practice radical hospitality by promoting warm and friendly encounters. This intergenerational ministry helps to foster community by welcoming all and initiating connections. Greeters extend welcome to all who enter our church doors. Coffee Crew makes and sets out coffee. Treat providers bring all sorts of delicious goodies to go with your coffee or tea. Ushers distribute bulletins, welcome all into our Worship Center, and pass the offering plate which makes possible the mission and ministry we share. Please prayerfully consider being part of the Worship Hospitality Team.

Sacristy/Communion Preparers

Set-up communion on Sunday mornings prior to the early worship service. Another team to clean-up after worship. If it is your week to set-up or clean-up you will also be asked to serve communion. This is a wonderful service opportunity that takes approximately 15-20 minutes per week. Great for families! Contact Sylvia McCallister.

Worship Center Cleaning Crew

This is the group that prepares the Worship Center for worship. They make sure everything is ready to welcome family (members) and friends (visitors). If you have an hour once a month, contact Corrine Schmidt.
