I’m New

WELCOME!

We worship at 9 am and 10:30 am each Sunday between Labor Day and Memorial Day.

Summer worship schedule runs on Memorial Day Sunday through Labor Day Sunday. During the summer we worship at 9 a.m. at the Houlton drive-in and at our building at 10 a.m. [Read more about the drive in!]

Everyone is welcome at worship: the faithful, the curious, the doubtful and the confused! Everyone is welcome at our celebration of the Lord’s Supper – also called communion.

The Lutheran church celebrates two sacraments: communion and baptism. Sacraments are holy rituals that were commanded by Jesus and include a physical sign. Bread and wine for communion, water for baptism. We believe that it is God who acts in these sacraments. And that all are welcome into the mystery of God’s promised presence in the sacraments.

Everyone is welcome at any time to the Lord’s Table for communion. We offer a class for children and families each spring.

As for baptism, parents having their first baby baptized will meet with a pastor or Faith Formation staff member. Adults new to the faith will be offered whatever learning and supports are helpful in making the decision to be baptized.
