Beloved siblings in Christ,

Please be aware that we are cancelling worship this Sunday, March 15 and all Trinity programming for the week of March 16.

The decision to close is not made in fear or alarm but in an abundance of caution and love for neighbor. While we trust people to make decisions about how to keep themselves safe, we also believe that the Gospel preferences the most vulnerable. We are acting faithfully to help limit the spread of the Covid-19 virus among the most vulnerable in our families and communities. You and I might be hardy, but we can still carry the virus to those who are not.

We will have a fresh worship experience available on Valley Access TV on Sunday at 11 a.m. and encourage you to tune in. See below for other rebroadcast times throughout the week. We will post current sermons and prayers on Facebook and our website. Updated information about closings can also be found in those places.

We are aware that many employers are asking people to work from home. For those whose income is not impacted: Trinity’s financial commitments do not abate in these trying times. We continue to work together to keep our church family financially healthy. Please mail in your offering, sign up for direct deposit or give online. There is more information below this message.

We will continue to receive phone calls and emails through the usual channels. We also encourage you to keep track of one another. Isolation can increase worry and fear. Please call those you normally see in worship or other activities and those you realize you haven’t seen in a while. Send cards and notes. Drop off groceries and necessities. Let’s take good care of each and allow no one to feel alone.

The congregational council will meet on Monday. We will make the decision about further closings at that time and notify you promptly.

In the meantime, we continue to hold our community in prayer, trusting that God is at work among those whose vocation is to keep us healthy. If you find yourself frightened, we are just a phone call away.

Grace and peace to you as you tend to your loved ones. We look forward to gathering back again soon.

In Christ’s promise of hope and renewal,
Pastor Chris Bellefeuille
Pastor Peter Weston Miller
Doug Johnson, Council President
Kim Dahlgren, Faith Community Nurse
