FAITH FORMATION OFFERINGS
2020-21 CHILDREN & FAMILY FAITH FORMATION OVERVIEW
We are so excited to connect faith and home during this year of being together while apart! Get ready to be drawn closer to God and one another as we continue to live out the promises made at baptism and align with Trinity’s Mission Statement and Core Values. We continue to emphasize equipping parents/caregivers to be pastors of their homes and provide intentional opportunities for important cross-generational faith connections.
Here are some basics of what you need to know:
Children’s Bulletins – As we continue to worship online and hold worship as a central family priority, a weekly Children’s Bulletin will be available to download from Trinity’s web site or by email to families who have registered in place of Step Out for the year. Curated from SparkHouse Digital, there’s a little something for everyone pre-school—Grade 5 to help engage in worship and grow in faith. Children’s Bulletins cover a version of the Bible Story parents hear during the week’s sermon. Children can also pick up a hard copy on a clipboard when Drive-In Worship takes place (please bring your own writing utensils!). Children’s Bulletins available starting Sunday, September 27 through May of 2021.
Milestone Ministry – Milestones are significant moments that help us practice and affirm faith. These moments are marked with caring conversation, Scripture, devotion, ritual, blessing, and presentation of a gift and certificate. There are no pre-requisites or age requirements to participate in Milestones, except we ask that children and parents/caregivers participate together with one Milestone per child, per year at your pace! Please download a complete description of Milestone Ministry above.
Create a Grace Space at Home – As we continue to worship at home, create a special and sacred routine for tuning into weekly online worship. Put together an at-home altar by laying out a tea cloth, lighting a candle, and putting a home-made cross in your worship space. Make the time of preparing for worship each week extra meaningful by letting each family member have a special job in setting up your at-home altar. Additionally, make or check out a worship bag for your children. Read more>>
