Position title: Children and Family Ministry (Birth-Grade 5) Coordinator
Congregation: Trinity Lutheran Church, Stillwater, St. Paul Area Synod
Brief position description and ministry context:
Trinity Lutheran Church (TLC) is currently seeking a Children and Family Ministry (Birth-Grade 5) Coordinator to help us live out our mission: “Because God first loved us, we live as Jesus in the world, loving God and loving neighbor.” This position would accompany our families to cultivate faith at church, at home, and in the world. We would love to have you join our vibrant, caring, curious, Christ-centered community!
Located in the beautiful St. Croix Valley, a short distance from the Twin Cities Metro, we are a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation, affirming the gifts of the LGBTQ+ community. We seek to be a church grounded in the reconciling Gospel of Jesus Christ. In doing so, we intentionally educate ourselves in becoming more effective advocates for all of God’s people. We embrace those of strong, uncertain, or undiscovered faith. We embrace all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions.
We embrace every age, family structure, race, ethnicity, physical and mental capacity, and economic circumstance. We believe all people have been created in the image of God, and therefore have valuable stories and infinite worth.
We are on the cusp of celebrating 150 years in ministry and are continuing to listen for God’s leading into the future. This winter, out of God’s love, Trinity joined other local partners in opening a Warming Space and Emergency Winter Shelter for folks who are experiencing homeless and transition. We are seeking to grow in sharing God’s story through us for the healing of the world.
