We are a Reconciling in Christ Community!
A vote was held at the annual meeting on Nov. 18 to affirm Trinity Lutheran Church as a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) community. Our Welcome Statement was overwhelmingly accepted and will serve as our declaration of inclusiveness and acceptance of all people in our faith community.

We received this word from Dr. Mark Jacobson, who grew up at Trinity and is our partner in Tanzania:

Dear Friends in Christ,

Warm greetings from Tanzania.

The time has come for Linda and me to reduce our roles in Tanzania.  At the end of the year we will step down as full time Tanzanian based missionaries and become missionaries who spend part of our time in the US and in Tanzania.

We are not abandoning the call, but shifting into a different, slower gear.

Our newsletter share this in more detail.  But rest assured, that we remain in ministry together with you and go forward in sharing the love and compassion of Christ.  These are difficult times of transition but clearly in God’s plan for us going forward and for the well being of the hospital and medical ministries we have begun.

Blessings,
Mark and Linda

Congratulations to Trinity member Claudia Swendseid who is a 2018 Alumni Achievement and Sent Forth Award Recipient from Concordia College. Claudia also received the 2018 Female Lifetime Volunteer Award from Washington County. She is an avid volunteer and we are so fortunate to have her leading our Stewardship Team!
