Children, Youth and Family Ministries Mission Statement:
To be a partner with families in their home and the world in supporting opportunities for a growing, passionate relationship with Jesus Christ.
Opportunities to Serve
Use your strengths to help our children Journey with Jesus. Sign up to be a part of the volunteer team on Sundays or Wednesdays. In our commitment in passing on the faith to a new generation, we are
excited to offer many “bite-sized” opportunities for individuals in the
Trinity faith community to join together in serving through their
strengths and passions. Teaching Teams Individuals with gifts of sharing with families and/or children in an up-front, interactive, presentation style of learning are needed for two to four weeks per semester. By gathering teams for each ministry, responsibilities are shared and individualized curriculum is provided to ensure meaningful experiences for both leaders and participants. Interest areas: Sunday & Wednesday Learning (Ages 3-grade 2) Bible Explorers (3-4th grade) (Sunday & Wednesday) Club 56 (Wednesday only) Please email Karen Gieseke with questions or for more information.
Small Group Leader For Bible Explorers and Club 56 classes, teaching team leadership and small group leaders help build relationships with a group of five to six students. Small group training and support is provided on a regular basis. Adults and students in tenth grade and older are invited to serve. Please email Karen Gieseke with questions or for more information.
Nursery Caregiver Sharing love and care to God’s youngest family members is not only a unique opportunity of sharing a first impression of Jesus’ love; it is a great outreach ministry to young families. Sharing your gift of time and commitment, serving in the nursery on a rotational basis will provide security and familiar faces for little ones to look forward to seeing each week. Availability schedules great and small can be accommodated and are welcomed. Caregivers must be at least in seventh grade to serve. This ministry is a great opportunity for confirmation small groups, father–daughter and mother–son teams to share and enjoy. Please email Rebecca Christansen with questions or for more information.
Financial Gifts Building new ministries, sharing tools and resources with children, and equipping families requires a financial investment. Donations are greatly appreciated. To learn more about the building of the many exciting new ministries please contactRebecca Christansen or Karen Gieseke at 439-7400. Thank you again, for supporting our commitment to passing on the faith to a new generation in such a generous way!
PB&J Hosts Serving just before and after a worship service on a rotational basis, equipping children with age-appropriate activity kits to help encourage quiet learning during their worship experience will be the primary responsibility of this ministry. Sharing enthusiasm and excitement is the second, and oh-so much-fun! Please email Mary Peters with questions or for more information.
PB&J Activity Kit Prep Behind the scenes prepping activity kits for our new PB&J ministry will be key to its success. Everything from writing curriculum, to filling kits, to gathering supplies are possibilities for serving in this ongoing role. Please email Mary Peters with questions or for more information.
