Trinity Lutheran Church’s wellness model honors the uniqueness of each individual and takes into account the multi-faceted nature of our whole being. It acknowledges and accepts people’s brokenness and encourages movement towards the wholeness and radiance God longs for in each of us. It recognizes that God’s love and light is at the core of our spiritual well-being and permeates all of our dimensions, our physical, emotional, social, intellectual and vocational. This model is integrated through-out the church year with worship, education, small-groups, coaching, support net-works and healing opportunities. The ultimate mission is to transform our members into the radiant stars God needs in the world.
Pilates on the Stability Ball Wednesdays, July 2-August 6, 8-9 a.m.– Trinity Gym Cost: $66 Much of our fatigue is a result of poor posture and imbalance in the body. Pilates works to align and stabilize the body so everyday movements are performed with ease and strength. By learning to properly recruit the abdominal and scapular stabilizing muscles when exercising or lifting heavy loads, one can greatly alleviate neck and back pain. Marty works with students to increase body awareness by educating them about their own bodies and helping them find what works best for them. While there are many traditional Pilates exercises performed on the mat, she also works on strengthening the entire body by working on the stability ball as well as standing positions. All levels of physical fitness are welcome as each student is asked to take each exercise at their own pace. Please bring your own mat and stability ball. Email instructor Marty Larson with questions or call her at 430-0077. Register online.
